It is beyond the scope of this page to give a comprehensive description of all the Special Forces that operated in the Western Desert during World War II. My intention is to give a brief explanation of the force, and when possible the importance they played in the Desert War For sake of brevity, The Guards Regiments, Parachute Regiment and the Afrika Korps are not covered on this page.
